We had a wonderful brunch on commitment Sunday bringing everyone together. Thank you to all who helped plan the brunch and put it on as well as those who attended. Each of us has contributes toward the goal not matter how small or large. We continue to receive pledge cards, the total is growing and we hope that someday soon we will be able to start building for the future. This is a long-term goal and every little bit helps. Thank you to all who have made a commitment to the future of HPC!

May 23rd we will conclude the CGS sermon series that engages us in the theme: “Crossing Over Together”. This is also when we will all come forward as a community to bring our commitment cards to the CGS campaign. Some of you are in economic or life situations where it is not possible to make a fund pledge at this time. You can still fill it out and participate by noting your pledge of time and/or talent and prayer for this effort. There is no reason for anyone to be excluded from participation if so guided by the Holy Spirit to do so on this Pentecost Sunday. Note the total of pledges to date is about $295,000 that will be added to the legacy gifts of over $700,000 as the funds come in.

Our church is embarking on a great adventure of faith, as we begin our Connecting…Growing..Serving… capital campaign to raise funds to expand and replace our educational space! We are currently at capacity and we need to look ahead to continue to meet the needs of our congregation and our community.
This is just another historic step in HPC’s 132-year journey of faith. The costs will be challenging and will demand the very best of all of us. Together with each other and God, with whom all things are possible, we can do it!
